I wanted to throw up a quick post about a disco event that we just finished for a waste management company where they hired us for a recent staff event.
The company was great and they actually specialise in waste disposal but they also do some tank cleaning too so given their green agenda it was a company that we very much enjoyed working with.
The night went just as planned with the equipment being hired from us, and we also provided their DJ for the night – but the banter and atmosphere was very much provided by them.
We started off by arriving at the hall that they had booked out for the occasion and although parking was pretty tough given the central location to the city – the venue was very spacious and had ample facilities for us to do what we do best – entertain. The hall was great but we had to hire a carpet cleaner in milton keynes before it was party-ready
Proceedings were due to start at 8pm on the night – which is a little later than what we normally do but given the venue and the surrounding we knew it would be a good night.
People started showing up at about 7:30pm and the music was flowing already by then, as were the drinks. At these kinds of events you inevitably get someone that has had a little too much to drink and becomes a nuisance – especially for the DJ. However, the night went very smoothly and the crowd was very civilised but still knew how to have a good time.
Half way through the night our DJ took a little break and called in to let us know how it was all going – which is standard practice for us. One of the perks of this business is that there is always a party going on and you get to watch people enjoy themselves.
People started leaving at around 2am which is about average from what we find. We then had the van packed up by about 3am so all in all a great event which finished in good time for us.
